Nintendo has announced an update for its Nintendo Music streaming service, which makes it easier to listen to your favourite gaming tunes in more places.
The service, which is a nice additional perk for Switch Online subscribers, now supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This makes it easier to tune into your favourite gaming soundtracks while dodging the traffic, minus the dreaded green shells heading your way. Voice control is also supported in the in-car environment.
Furthermore, the service is now available in a web browser making playback possible on desktop and the app is also optimised for tablets too. This brings the selection of game tunes to larger displays.
The app is currently available on iOS and Android, and users can log in with their Nintendo account in order to start enjoying those magical soundtracks. There’s a nice selection of recent games and beloved classics with new games coming over time.
Currently available titles include:
- Mario Kart World
- Pikmin 4
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- Fire Emblem Engage
- Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet
- Splatoon 3
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Wii Sports
- Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version
- Metroid Prime
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Donkey Kong Country
- Super Mario Bros.
The app also includes background playback, so you can use another app while enjoying tunes. Offline downloads are available and you can also choose to hide soundtracks from games you haven’t played yet.
