Samsung has acknowledged an issue with the Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone‘s camera that has seen early adopters register complaints about blurry photos.
In recent weeks, new Galaxy S26 Ultra owners noticed photos they shot with 3x zoom enabled were decidedly blurry. Users reported photos taken in low light with the flash on were decidedly worse, although also showed up when in brighter conditions. One user sent the logs to Samsung and the company got back to them acknowledging the problem and promised help is on the way.
The representative told the user: “This issue is scheduled to be fixed and improved in a future software upgrade. Please understand that it may take some time for the fix to be reflected and the version to be released, so we are unable to provide a detailed release schedule at this time.”

Since then a Samsung community moderation has responded to an Android Authority report claiming the issue was addressed, potentially in the recent April 2026 security update.
Furthermore Samsung is bringing a Galaxy S26 camera feature to owners of the Galaxy S25 range from the previous year. The Document Scan feature will be available in a forthcoming software update (via SammyFans).
The feature works on the Galaxy S26 phones by using the rear camera and includes an Auto mode that handles the cropping. It’s a handy feature if you need to get a signed paper document off to a recipient quickly without having a scanner on hand.
Fewer and fewer people feel the need to have a printer at home, so this will be a welcome addition for Galaxy S25 owners.
