Apple confirms likely iOS 27 reveal date as WWDC 2026 schedule set

Apple will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2026) from June 8-12, with the much-anticipated keynote address planned for June 8. That’s likely be the date Apple reveals its forthcoming software innovations for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, Vision Pro and more.

In an announcement on Monday, Apple confirmed WWDC will primarily been an online event, while there will be a “special” in-person component for developers and students on June 8 too.

The headline makers during Tim Cook’s keynote will be iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27 and tvOS 27. This really got easier to keep up with since Apple aligned all of its updates with the year it’s designed for.

“WWDC26 will spotlight incredible updates for Apple platforms, including AI advancements and exciting new software and developer tools. As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting developers, WWDC will also provide unique access to Apple engineers and designers, and insight into new tools, frameworks, and features,” Apple says.

The headline-maker is likely to be the new personalised Siri features infused by Google Gemini. It’s possible Apple rolls out some fruits of the partnerships in forthcoming versions of iOS 26 before June, with WWDC offering a chance to showcase the best and most advanced features to the massive audience that tunes into the WWDC keynote every year. Some reports have suggests Apple will also enable users to further customise the Liquid Glass design language introduced last year.

The WWDC keynote occasionally sees Apple launch new hardware too and, with an Apple TV and HomePod mini refresh rumoured to be in the pipeline, Apple may drop these here.
