WiiM Sound Lite speaker delivers multi-room hi-res audio at a lower price

Following the release of the WiiM Sound speaker in October, the audio company is back on the scene with a new model that promises to be a more affordable rival to to the Sonos Era 100 and Apple HomePod range.

The WiiM Sound Lite comes out on December 25, so perfect timing for your Christmas money, and offers high resolution performance and promises to be a great addition to the whole home audio set up.

There’s no screen, so it’s clean design that won’t stand out too much in your home environment. Described as “minimalist”, the Sound Lite promises standalone performance, the opportunity to pair for stereo sound, as well as multi-room and 5.1 home cinema compatibility.

It also offers the company’s custom RoomFit Room Connection tech, “automatically measures your space and adjusts the output for balanced, optimised sound anywhere you place it.”

The Hi-Res Audio will pump out 24-bit/192 KHz with 100W of peak output. Connectivity comes via Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. There’s Ethernet too, so yay for that. It’s compatible with Chromecast, Alexa Cast, Spotify and Tidal Connect and more.

The WiiM Sound Lite will cost £229 / $229. It’ll be available in black and white just like it’s big brother. We look forward to taking the Wiim Sound Lite for a test spin in the near future.

“Designed to offer studio-grade sound, effortless casting, and broad ecosystem compatibility in a refined, minimalist silhouette, WiiM Sound Lite gives music lovers a modern, elegant way to bring high-fidelity audio into any space,” the company says.
